Luke’s Manchester Marathon raises £1,300 for EPAfrica!

The chairman of EPAfrica’s Board of Trustees has completed Manchester Marathon in a fantastic time of 3 hours and 07 minutes!

“I love running and I love a challenge and it’s always a great idea to combine the two and raise some money at the same time. EPAfrica’s ambitions are bold and I want to do my part to support those, both by giving my time and by raising vital funds for our plans! It was 12 tough weeks of training but all worth it on the day and for the £1,300 raised!”

Luke explains why he’s running in this quick vlog

With the kind support of family and friends, and matching from Luke’s employer Deloitte, Luke’s fundraising total is on £1,300 and counting! We are planning to use these funds towards our Summer 2019 Technology for Learning Programme, which will see investment in teacher training and technology.

So how did it go on the day?

“It went surprisingly smoothly :). This was marathon number 5 and it definitely was the least painful and I ran a PB which I was so happy about.”

A big thank you to everyone who donated.
