OUR PARTNER SCHOOLS

Our partner schools in East Africa are crucial to our success. Their enthusiasm for improving the quality of education for their students drives our commitment, and their knowledge and guidance ensures our programmes focus on what is really needed. Click below to find out how your school and EPAfrica could work together.

Since EPAfrica was formed in the early 1990s we have worked with hundreds of rural secondary schools across East Africa, starting out in Kenya before expanding to Uganda in 2013. We work closely with each partner school to create a sustainable difference to the quality of education provided. Every EPAfrica partner school is carefully selected, so please check that your school meets the following criteria before applying:
  • Rural (over 30 minutes from the nearest town)
  • Under-resourced
  • Established (over 2 years of KCSE/O-Level results or equivalent)
  • Situated in Kisii or Kakamega districts in Kenya, or the Mbarara district in Uganda
Our model is designed to ensure that we reach the most under-resourced schools and have the greatest impact. In Kenya, we therefore primarily work with government district schools, rather than provincial schools. In Uganda, we work with both private and government schools.

When you [EPAfrica] came, we had a building. Now, we have a library and a lab. Actually, some parents who came to the school appreciate it and say they’ll send their children here next year.
