Update 4th June 2019: Summer Team needed in Kisii and Mbarara We are urgently looking for coordinators, particularly to work in Kisii between 8 July and 14 August. Due to a last minute drop out, we urgently need extra support in Kisii during this five week period, to ensure that we are able to run a safe and successful summer project. There has never been a more exciting time to be part of the Summer Team. This year, they have an expanded role, with responsibility for delivering water projects, Girl Friendly Toilet schemes, and teacher training conferences, alongside their usual duties. You guessed it, it’s that time of the year again! EPAfrica is looking for charismatic volunteers to join the Summer Team and deliver yet again another exciting project in Kenya and Uganda.
Last year the Summer Team has piloted Solar Energy installations, Girl Friendly Toilet schemes, IT conferences and menstrual cups. As our model evolves, the need for a strong and dedicated Summer Team is paramount. We have recruited a fantastic bunch of PWs and they can’t wait to get to know who will be their leaders and support over the summer. Will it be you?
As always we are are looking for a number of individuals who can fill a variety of positions. Whether you have little or lots of time to dedicate to EPAfrica, miss your old school or are curious to see a different part of the world, whether you are in between jobs or have a busy work schedule, dream of delivering first week training or progress schools selection, we have the job for you!

Project Manager
A lot of responsibilities but also great rewards. The role offers great opportunity to gain leadership experience in the early stages of your career. You’ll be expected to commit for at least 6 weeks. Don’t forget you get your flights paid, even though you’re encouraged to fundraise.

Project Coordinator
If you have spoken to Tom Pollard for more than 5 minutes, you already know that this isthe best job in the charity. You’ll get to visit tons of schools, really get to know PWs and support them throughout the summer. In addition, there will be opportunities to getting involved with running Summer Team delivered school projects. You can join us for as little as two weeks, so it’s a good solution if you have already planned longer holidays or if you work.

Pres-Summer Team
This job is perfect for those who already know the charity and our sites well. Finalize central house arrangements, visit schools to ensure they are ready to welcome our PWs. Working behind the scenes, you will be at the heart of the logistical and organisational decisions which lay the groundwork for a successful summer project. If you have two weeks available in the second half of June get in touch now!

Researcher
A great opportunity for someone who is interested in researching education in East Africa and wants some logistics support or someone who wants to make a key contribution to our strategy and knowledge. Researches can be conducted as part of university studies but they will require an ad hoc report for the charity. Topic can include teaching methods, the role of information technology in East African education, the impact of vocational curricula and much more.
